The Significance & Greatness of al-Sahlah Mosque and its supplications for the believers
After the Great Mosque of Kufa, it is the turn of al-Sahleh Mosque, which in some narrations is called "Suheil" Mosque, in some other narrations it is called "Shari" Mosque, and in the third narration it is also called "Bani Zafar" Mosque, And it’s the place for the lovers of Imam Mahdi (Baqiyatullah al-Azam), who is the Imam of the time (peace be upon him) and regarding the great spiritual position of this Mosque, there are so many narations, including:
It was the house of the Prophet Idris (PBUH) and Prophet Ibrahim (PBUH) and many other prophets and the righteous people.
In some narrations, it is stated that the word " فیه المعراج " , which may refer to the fact that the spiritual ascension of the believers is achieved in this mosque, or it may refer to the fact that the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) after Landing on the night of Ascension to the mosque of Kufa, (which is mentioned in some narrations that the Prophet descended and prayed two rak'ats in the mosque of Kufa) then entered the mosque of al-Sahleh and from there ascended to heaven.
Whoever call upon the almighty God and request for what he wish in this mosque, his needs and requests will be met ... and he will be safe from the problems of the world and the tricks of his enemies.
God did not send a Prophet unless he prayed in this mosque.
"Sheikh Tusi" in his book "Tahdhib" has quoted from Imam al-Sadiq (pbuh) that no sorrow and pain enters the al-Sahlah Mosque and he does not pray two rak'ats between Maghrib and Isha prayers unless God solves his problem.
Imam al-Sadiq (pbuh) said to Abu Basir: "This mosque is one of the holy places for worship in which God loves the prayers and supplications performed by the believers at that place and there is no day or night unless the angels visit this mosque and worship God in it.»
According to a narration from Imam al-Sadiq (pbuh), staying in this mosque (for worship) is like staying in the tent of the Messenger of God (pbuh) and no man or woman is a believer unless his heart longs for this Mosque.
